Darfur Crisis

More than a decade after Rwanda, the world sits back and watches genocide once again yet refuses to say its name. Failure to act in Rwanda cost more than eight hundred thousand lives. Now, up to one million people face a similar fate in Darfur, western Sudan.

Today, Darfur is the site of the world’s most dire crisis. Since 2003, over four hundred thousand people have died at the hands of the Sudanese government and Janjaweed militias. Millions have been forces from their homes.

Do we need a million people to die before the west or international community blinks an eye?
